TERP Module
Learners, lessons and the classroom — with a diary that cannot double-book a car and a set of books that knows a prepaid package is not profit.
A driving school run end to end. Enrol a learner on a course, book them in with an instructor and a car, and the diary refuses the clash by name rather than by shrugging — because a lesson holds three things at once and any one of them being busy makes it impossible. Instructors work their own day from a phone and mark a lesson off at the kerb. The classroom side runs beside it: a batch, its classes, and a register where only the people actually in the room use up a session. And underneath all of it, one rule that most software for this trade gets wrong: money taken for twenty lessons on Monday is not Monday's income. It sits as fees you owe in lessons until the lessons are taught, and one twentieth of it becomes real income each time one is. So March does not look wonderful and June does not look like a collapse, and the owner can see, on the dashboard, exactly how much of the money in the bank is work they still have to do.
Key features
See it in action
Nimal rings about lessons. The office writes him down, enrols him on Car — 20 lessons at LKR 30,000, and takes the lot in cash.
Nothing lands in income. The books show 30,000 in cash and 30,000 owed in lessons — because on that morning the school has earned nothing and owes twenty hours.
The office books his first lesson: Tuesday 10am, Sunil, the red Alto. Trying to give Sunil a second learner at 10.30 is refused, by name, and nothing is saved.
Sunil takes the lesson and marks it taught on his phone at the kerb, with "hill starts". LKR 1,500 becomes income at that moment and not before. His phone never showed him a price.
Nimal also sits the theory class on Thursday. He is ticked present on the register; another 1,500 moves. The learner who did not turn up earns the school nothing.
Nimal checks his own page on his phone: eighteen sessions left, paid in full, trial on the 24th.
The office marked Saturday's lesson taught by accident. They un-mark it; the income reverses with an opposite entry and both stay in the ledger, because both happened.
By June the owner opens the dashboard: income is what was actually taught, and the tile says how much of the money in the bank is still work to do.
